Whether you’re a stay-at-home mom or a working mom, “mom guilt” is an experience you’ve likely gone through at least once. As mothers, we often feel overwhelming pressure to live up to the expectation of perfection, and if we don’t reach that fictitious goal (which, let’s be honest, we never will, and that’s ok!) we fall into a pit of regret, doubt, anxiety, and shame. Ironically, this pressure is likely a sign that you’re already doing a fantastic job in motherhood. If you weren’t, would you let the worry of constantly screwing up eat at you the way it does now? Mom guilt hangs over many mothers, and it’s no surprise with the precious responsibility we bear to raise tiny human beings into responsible adults, but you can’t let it haunt your every thought. It’s ok to admit that you can’t do everything! Here are some reasons to remind you to ditch the mom guilt when it gets to be too much, brought to you by your friends at Romp n’ Roll!

Pricy, flashy gifts have become the go-to for Christmastime, and parents frequently shell out a lot of money for these presents (according to this 2017 study by RetailMeNot, U.S. parents spend an average of $330 per child for Christmas), but is this method of Christmas the most meaningful for you children? Perhaps it’s time to re-evaluate the gifts your child receives at Christmas. Instead of the newest toy that will be forgotten a few months down the line, consider giving your child the gift of experiences this holiday season, brought to you by your friends at Romp n Roll.

While parenting is one of the most rewarding jobs you could ever do, it’s also one of the toughest. When you and your child clash, it’s your duty as a parent to develop and utilize parenting strategies to help your child learn and grow in a positive way to foster understanding and compassion, rather than in a negative way that could lead to them experiencing further issues with anger, confusion, and conflict. Here are some of our most useful strategies to help you positively approach the more negative moments of parenting, brought to you by your friends at Romp n' Roll.

Parenting is a round-the-clock job, especially the nonstop job of keeping your children fed. Growing kids need lots of food to fuel their high-energy. Thinking up healthy yet yummy snacks for them each day is a lot of pressure, so it’s easy to get caught in a rut of making the same rotation of snacks over and over again. But this could be depriving your child of a wider variety in nutrition, and cause them to be picky eaters of only a few foods. Giving them options beyond the usual goldfish crackers and cereal (though both of these are great snack options!) will benefit them both nutritionally and developmentally. Here are some of our favorite healthy snacks for toddlers and kids that are easy and fun, brought to you by your friends at Romp n' Roll.
